Winning kids hearts

SwarSketches is a unique series, where the kids get to see/hear music in a way they can relate to, and slowly step into recognizing the notes. My daughter stepped foot into this and absolutely enjoyed the session. She was able to relate to the concept! Miles to go, but this first step is encouraging and engaging kids well 🙂 Congrats Madhumita Bhaskar for winning kids hearts with this series.

Pique your child’s musical curiosity

My 5 yo absolutely enjoyed the session. What a unique way to not only introduce music to kids but also teach them to appreciate and enjoy it!! Madhumita made it so interactive that the kids (and the parents too!!) were engaged right from the beginning. If you are looking for innovative avenues to pique your child’s musical curiosity, look no further. My kid enjoyed it!

My kid enjoyed it and started practicing the notes that were taught for the famous rhymes on her keyboard. She was able to relate the Carnatic notes to the rhymes and understand eventually what “notes” mean. She loved the story as well.

Treat for parents and children!

Madhumita has a wonderful way with kids and her creative storytelling keeps them involved throughout the session. She draws images out of the children’s imagination and immediately brings them to life on the screen with her admirable sketching skills. And she seamlessly connects these with musical notes, making the children understand music through fun-filled interaction. A treat as much for parents as for children!

Getting inspired is priceless treasure

Thanks a million Smt.Madhumita from ShrotaHouse for giving this precious opportunity to Jagannath to converse with Vidwan Sriman Sikkil Gurucharan ji. To be able to converse like this as a child with a Vidwan (stalwart) and getting inspired is priceless treasure.
With ShrotaHouse, Smt. Madhumita made it possible and made the whole conversation into beautiful video(episode) with very cute and beautiful drawings- Jagannath, Gurucharan ji and butterflies 🙂 were portrayed super lovely in the drawings. I was awestruck by Sriman Gurucharan ji’s elegant, eloquent, encouraging and patient answers to little Jagannath. Madhumita talked to Jagannath few days before the interview and inspired him with variety of ideas for the interview. Jagannath enjoyed talking with Madhumita so much. As she became a small kid while speaking to him. 🙂

Each session increases the light in our sons eyes

“One Bite At A Time”
As the saying goes, How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. With every interactive session Madhumita knows not only how to make kids bite at a time but each session increases the light in our sons eyes and a sparkle for the music lights up. Thank you and keep up with the good work Madhumita.

Absolutely 150% recommend ShrotaHouse!

Hi! My daughter, Maya, is 3 yrs old. She doesn’t watch screens at all ( 30 mins in a week). And I’m always looking for unique ways to engage her and create learning experiences where it doesn’t feel like anything is being taught. She did her first session with Madhu this Sunday and it was fabulous. I absolutely loved how she introduced music through storytelling and art. And that Maya sang and enjoyed. I’m going to borrow the phrase from the last recommendation – My kid’s eyes lit up! This is a discovery phase for kids. Thank you, Madhu, for helping Maya explore ♥️
Absolutely 150% recommend ShrotaHouse!

You are changing lives and the outlook to Indian Classical Music!

I do believe actions speak more than words, but a few words are required to narrate that action, isn’t it ? 😉
What you will experience in the video below is not only an interview but a prospective student probably on behalf of many more potential students, enquiring about the road to success, right from what hurts to what motivates , from is it method or perseverance, from can you to can anyone ?
Dhruv was in search of direction, or I could say the student was ready when his gurus appeared , he found @Shrotahouse Madhumita BhaskarSugato Nag Ji and his favourite string instrument the #sitar . After this interaction he became Pt . Sugato Nag Ji’s Student. Not only him , he motivated his younger brother Ved who is 8 years old to learn the sitar as well. They are still in the initial phase but Dhruv would be performing as the only sitarist in his school music fiesta on the 29th of March 2022.
Madhumita Bhaskar is passionate about Indian Classical music , she is by far the most infectious person you can meet ! If it’s #IndianClassicalmusic , it’s Shrotahouse ! Our journey with her started with one seven day workshop , and today we are here with this post !
You are changing lives and the outlook to Indian Classical Music! #Shrotahouse Kudos to your team !!

This summer camp experience will be one of their core memories for Life

Though I am a singer and my family is musically oriented, it’s for a fact that Miss Madhu and ShrotaHouse have been instrumental in introducing my 3 year old into the world of music. She was extremely warm and engaged well with kids. Kids have learnt the basics of music and instruments in the most fun way possible! I’m pretty sure that this summer camp experience will be one of their core memories for Life 😊
Thank you for such an enriching experience ShrotaHouse ❤️

This turned out to be an excellent decision for him (and for us)!

With our four-year-old showing a keen interest in music since his early years, we were looking for an activity in Bangalore to not only keep him engaged over the summer but also develop his fledgling interest in music. We came across ShrotaHouse, and following a brief conversation with Madhumita, its founder, decided to enroll him into their introductory summer camp this year. This turned out to be an excellent decision for him (and for us) as the camp introduced him to the basics of Indian classical music – svaras, raag and taal – in creative, innovative, and interesting ways, even whilst remaining simple and accessible enough to keep an active four-year-old engaged. Our child remained enthused throughout the four-week period of the camp and looked forward to going back each day to “Madhu Ma’am’s” class throughout, even when we were on holiday in between. We were impressed with ShrotaHouse’s approach that focused on instilling concepts and ideas without underestimating a child’s intelligence. We felt that it was a far more effective and sustainable approach to engendering interest in classical music rather than focus on singing or structure alone. We would like to thank Madhu (and the entire ShrotaHouse term) for their lovely introduction to the world of classical music, and, as the camp has left him wanting for more, hope to continue our association with ShrotaHouse in some form in the future.

As a parent I witnessed a lot of change in my son’s interest towards music

My son Adith attended the summer camp organized by ShrotaHouse. He thoroughly enjoyed the camp and I must highlight here that Madhumita made sure each kid learnt something from the camp. As a parent I witnessed a lot of change in my son’s interest towards music and the overall interest in learning something new. Thank you Madhumita for organising such a wonderful camp for the tiny little ones.
