A day-long celebration of Indian classical music for children unfolded for the first time in November 2025 in Bengaluru, as ShrotaHouse Kids Fest drew families into a bright, family-friendly artistic experience.

With immersive experiences for kids and their families, centred on participatory music-making and art, children used a fun map to identify and check out over 30 unique reward-based activities engaging newbies in Indian classical music and seasoned veterans alike. The atmosphere was very lively, warm, and inclusive.

Special moments included the launch of ShrotaHouse App – a universal companion for music lovers across ages and backgrounds. Attendees interacted closely with musicians and artists, while their peers cheered on and applauded—a moment that highlighted community recognition and encouragement for musical curiosity and enthusiasm.

The event spotlighted two concert performances by young prodigies —Shalmalee Srinivas, a 6-year-old Carnatic vocalist & Veena player from Bangalore, and father-daughter duo of Avadhut and Anaga Sukhtankar; the latter being a 12-year-old Sitar player from Belgaum.

ShrotaHouse Kids Fest has clearly made a mark in the cultural space of Bangalore. Celebrating Indian classical music and related arts in such a setting feels both ceremonial and approachable for young children.
